How to become Motivated about Your Goals
Motivation is the driving force that helps us to keep going when we are striving towards our goals.
The problem is often that when a person sets out to achieve a goal, they will throw themselves into the task, work hard and then discover that their energy and enthusiasm is starting to flag or they just quit with a puff of smoke.
The problem is that they didn’t plan anything from the start. Without planning there can be no motivation. The goal comes first, it can be anything so long as it is a realistic achievable goal that fits into the realms of this World. When the goal is clearly defined and you know what it looks like, what it will feel like to have and you can strongly sense how it will be when it changes your life for the better, then you you must put a plan of action into effect.
Motivation cannot exist without a goal that is clearly defined. A clearly defined goal should be something that fits into your life and something that you know will enhance your lifestyle in a positive way. How do you establish if the goal is for you or not? Self-Knowledge will always be your guide when setting goals.
To know yourself is to have knowledge of your deeper self. The person who has until now been through all the experiences of life that only you can relate to and understand. The experiences that make up your life – for good or bad – are the gold dust of your self knowledge. To look at these experiences and analyse them is the first step to a deeper self-knowledge.
The results of your analysis will give you so much power over your decision making about what your real goals are. You will know what makes you happy in general. You will have the ability to judge ahead of the situation and gage how well you might be at a particular activity or business. You will be able to set goals that suit your individual needs and desires for life and not simply accept the goals of others’ as your own.
With the power of exact goal setting you will discover that when it comes time to turn well planned action into reality, your motivation will be higher and more resilient and you find it easier to be persistent in pursuing your goals.
